We have been to several jobs and had the comment ‘the other guy (company name mentioned- and not

listed as a competent installer) said he could sign the work off no problem’.

It is the responsibility of the person ordering the work (usually the householder) to

confirm whether the people working on their house are suitably competent.

Remember it can lead to a lot of hassle when you try to submit your completion certificate application, only to find out the paperwork gets returned as the firm that carried out the works was not registered.
